I cannot stand that book! My ex weaponized it to get more "touch", giving "gifts" was his substitute for real connection, he demanded constant "words of affirmation", and directed all of my "acts of service" to pacify his needs. Why can't the love languages be trust, communication, open mindedness, kindness and connection?
